Spartan Roofing LLC grew out of the Gorham and Windham area, and that is still where most of our work starts. Our shop is at 26 Tower Rd. in Windham, and from there we cover the whole state, from Portland and Brunswick on the coast to Lewiston, Auburn, Augusta, and Bangor.
The company is built around one idea: roofing does not have to be complicated or adversarial. You should be able to get a clear answer about what your roof needs, a price you can understand, and a crew that does what it said it would do. We work on homes of every size, small commercial buildings, and new construction alongside builders. Some weeks that is a full tear off and replacement, other weeks it is a pipe boot, a chimney flashing rebuild, or an emergency tarp in the middle of a storm.

What We Do
Our work covers the full life of a roof. New installation on construction projects, full replacement when a roof is genuinely done, leak and storm repair, seasonal maintenance for homes under heavy tree cover, photo documented inspections for owners and buyers, emergency tarping around the clock, and silicone coating that extends flat and low slope roofs without a tear off. Asphalt shingles make up most of what we install, and we also work with standing seam and exposed fastener metal, rolled roofing, and coating systems.
Maine gives roofs a hard time. Snow sits for months in the northern and central parts of the state. Coastal wind and salt air corrode fasteners and lift edges. Freeze and thaw cycles build ice at the eaves of any home with an under ventilated attic. Tree cover fills valleys and gutters with needles until water backs up under the shingles. We build around those realities instead of installing the same generic roof you would get in a milder climate.
Where We Work
From Windham we regularly cover greater Portland, Brunswick and the midcoast, Lewiston and Auburn, Augusta and Kennebec County, and the Bangor area. Longer trips are scheduled in blocks so travel time does not get added to your price, and materials are confirmed in advance so a small surprise does not turn into a return visit next week.
